Mal da Udal: the world’s most famous dwarf who was loved on both sides of the ocean
Despite his small stature, Charles Stratton became so famous in his time that all of America, Europe, and Asia spoke of him. He was rich, famous, talented, loved by people, wrote about him in the Newspapers. Charles proved by his own example that you don’t have to be tall and handsome to get the sincere affection of people.

“Lady Monkey”: an incredible Mexican woman who became a curiosity of the circus in the XIX century
In the XIX century, circus performances were incredibly popular, in which people with all kinds of physical characteristics performed. Some were naturally conjoined twins, others had extra limbs, and others resembled animals. It was the latter that Julia Pastrana belonged to. She was called the “bear Woman” or “lady Monkey”. PIP and Flip: a Duo of sisters with “pinheads” from the circus of freaks
The fate of people born with certain physical disabilities in the twentieth century was deplorable: as a rule, they became objects of ridicule, performing in circuses for the amusement of the public. The audience was horrified and laughed, surprised and could not believe their eyes. The Duo of the snow sisters from Georgia “became famous” for their extraordinary behavior: adult girls with tiny heads and a level of development, like young children, bribed with naivety and simplicity.
